For my film I had to search for three different actors. A 30-40 year old male actor, a 30-40 year old female actor and a newsreader. I tried to hold auditions in my local area for the male and female parts but no-one was interested in the part. I had to approach a number of people in these age groups that I knew and would decide on the actors through this shortlist. Some of the men and woman that I auditioned were not cut out for the role, they would giggle throughout and others had very rigid and forced movement and speech. I was lucky in that one man and one woman that I auditioned were very good actors as well as being perfect for the parts.
When attempting to find the newsreader I did the same. I approached a group of people who I knew that I believed could be a good newsreader. I auditioned a number of people but these are two of the auditions. The first image was the person I selected. I did this as she looks and sounds more like a newsreader than any of the other people who auditioned. The second audition was a failed audition. The actor looks two young and he does not sound like a traditional newsreader
